You think Anet is overdoing these Weekend Events a bit too much?

It's funny, the cycle of the mystical "Complaint". First, we all complain that there just isn't enough to do in Guild Wars to keep us occupied forever. ANet answers this call by creating fun weekends for all of us so that we the players, both casual and hardcore, can have fun and anticipate these events with excitement. But then, they give us more weekend events, to top that with getting Nightfall ready for these butchering customers, and what do we do?

Yes, why we continue the cycle of complaints, so let's keep it going! Yeah, woo! :-/

In non-observationist POV, I'm looking forward to getting 15k Luxon armor at last without FF'ing all day with this event!

I'm guessing that every weekend there is going to be some event now. I wonder how long they will keep coming up with new ideas for future events.

maybe pull ideas out of a hat? I mean it isn't really hard i don't think, because the weekends arn't that super new of ideas, just lovely faction

can you say weekend of:

Colors - dye
Runes - runes
Material - common and raw materials drop out of nowhere when you kill something lol
upgrades - higher chance for items to have upgrades
Gold - well.. increased amounts of gold
something else with bathazaar faction
Random Hunt evemt - weird monster that spawns randomly to drop loot thought unlikely it be cool
Beer Event!- monsters have a high chance of dropping ales
Xp Event - revcieve more xp!

7 simple ideas that i bet we will see >_>

Argh, I just used my PvP character slot for an Elementalist in PvE.
Will this mean the PvP characters will have acces to FA & JQ for like, forever?

That was inevitable. Now people will actually play Jade Quarry!

(However, the prices of Amber and Jade will now drop to nearly nothing this weekend.)

BINGO. If you have Amber/Jade in your inventory, I would highly considering disposing of it before the floods of people start filling Aspenwood and Quarry and spamming their wares on the open market.

Then I think I'll have to say, goodbye Elementalist, untill other ways to buy character slots then CC will be implemented.

these fun weekends arent all fun, yet another pvp weekender and the pve ones dont seem to have worked at all. double pve elite drops never seemed any different to me and the better rate of rares and key drops never seemed any different either.

I like the weekend events - I might not participate, but it is nice to beleive they are thinking of us. Thanks Anet!

I do however beleive that in addition to just being fun - they are making sure people stay and play (and testing server loads) - driving down prices of some commodities to make it easier for the new chapter 3 players to buy things.

Indeed. I'd much rather see some permanent improvments to the game. Scale back on these double this, double that weekends and make with the auction systems and saveable build templates!
